The Loneliness of Midlife Men

Being a single man nearing fifty, I can attest to just how lonely one gets. However, with a world of experience behind us, it may make single people like me reluctant to re-enter the dating pool. But being uncoupled is only part of the loneliness journey.

There are, of course, many other factors that contribute to one’s lonely lifestyle. Things like lack of friendships, disconnection from family or certain family members, and so on. What’s worse, or so I think, is our society’s preference to isolate themselves from the real world, opting instead to live their lives through the addictive world of the internet.
